Hey Cal, great list of resources. I think this will help a lot of "new" preachers in building their library. One book that I didn't see on your list that has been extremely influential in my personal ministry is "The Sermon as a Symphony: Preaching the Literary Forms of the New Testament" by Mike Graves. You should check it out if you haven't already. Thanks Man.

Thanks for the suggestion. No, I am totally unfamiliar with it. Keep in touch!

Cal - great list and help! At first I did not care for Paul Scott Wilson's work, "The Four Pages of the Sermon" but in the end it helped clarify and improve my preaching as much as anything I've read and applied.

I really like Donald Sunukjian's book, Invitation to Biblical Preaching. Some say it will replace Robinson's book. It's really good. Power in the Pulpit by Jerry Vines is also excellent - really a primer and must-read for new preachers. Preaching that Changes Lives by Fabarez is also very helpful in terms of application.

Wilhite's book, Preaching With Relevance has some great nuggets. He went to be with the Lord a few years ago (brain tumor), was a DTS prof, and had some great insights....

Old, Hughes Oliphant. The Reading and Preaching of the Scriptures in the Worship of the Church (volume 1 of 7) -all are excellent...

forgot to mention

Preaching God's Word by Duvall and Hayes and

He is Not Silent by Mohler...

Kind of surprised Olford isn't on here. His book Anointed Expository Preaching was really...developed. :)

Thanks for the list. Two the books are sitting on my desk right. Andy Stanely's Communication for Change and Haddon Robinson's Biblical Preaching
